I agree with the suggestion of fabric instead of paper. Holes are so much easier to hide. I have to add that ribbon makes a wonderful edger. I'm in primary now and used a red fabric with blue gros grain ribbon, it looked really sharp.

Use fabric. MOst people use banner paper as their background color. One of the many complaints is unsightly bulletin boards. After the pictures and announcements are taken down, the board looks like it has a bad case of pox. Instead, try using a simple patterned and nuetral colored fabric. You can staple the edges so that the fabric is tight and cover the edges with regular paper borders of your choice. You can change it out every couple of months, or whenever you wish. You can keep the background and change the border and accents to go with the seasons is you wish.
