Emergency/Practical Preparedness

Check out my article on 72-hour kits

Teach the children how to be prepared in emergency situations. One room: teach them the song "The Prophet Said to Plant a Garden" and have them plant a seed in a paper cup. Second room: make individual emergency car kits (item ideas = waterproof matches, mini-first-aid kits, granola bars, beef jerky, solar blanket, rain poncho, toothbrush, toothpaste, flashlight, small radio, etc.). Third room: do tornado, earthquake, flood drills.
