Food Bank Scavenger Hunt

Preparation: 
Contact your local food bank and collect a list of items that are most needed. Give each team of Scavengers a copy of the list. You'll need treats to give as prizes, and grocery bags to collect food in. It's also a good idea to put up flyers or ask the Bisho to announce that you'll be coming round.
Take the youth around a SAFE neighborhood in GROUPS inviting people to donate canned items or unperishables to the Food Bank from the list (accept items not on the list as well if the charity will take them).

The group with the most items wins a prize or gets to pick treats from a box first.

Note: Our local Food Bank accepts surplus fruits and vegetables from your garden. Call ahead to learn if your local Food Bank or Food Pantry accepts fresh foods.
