Fund Raiser

In March we have the bishopric announce that the YW are going to be having a yard sale as a fund raiser about one month before the yard sale. We arrange for everything to be stored in one location and members of the ward donate items to be sold at the yard sale. They bishopric really help out with picking items up but we also have the YW assist with gathering the items. The day of the yard sale the YW put everything out on the pre-designated spot and start selling. We also have baked goods that the YW have made. We have been doing this for several years now and it has been incredibly successful. We have also posted the sale a week before on local free websites and the YW make signs to hang up on nearby busy roads, just remember to take down the signs after the sale is over. Anything that isn't sold we take and donate to the DI.
