Primary Quarterly Activity - Camping Theme

This "Camp Out" Activity was done last year. It was a huge success and thought I would share with others!! I am attaching the signs, handouts, invitations etc. from our activity. I will also explain a little about the Activity:

Gather the children in the main room (gym). Have it decorated like a camp ground with a tent, chairs, sleeping bags, (fake) fire pit, etc. Divide the kids into four groups by placing a sticker on each child (i.e. butterflies group 1, leaves group 2, bugs group 3, frogs group 4)

Each child gets a brown paper bag with a picture of a backpack. They will receive an object at each station to carry in their "back packs".

Each group goes to their first station.
Station 1- First Aid (learn basic first aid) Handout band aids
Station 2- Nature Preserve (craft) Make picture frame of Christ using nature materials
Station 3- Cave of Wonder (lesson) details of this will be attached
Station 4- Camp Sing-A-Long, each group learns a different camp song. Hand out camp songs book.

Rotate the stations (as time allows) until they have all been to each station.

After all of the stations, the kids return to the main "Camp" room. Each group performs their camp song. Have the Primary President or Bishop, (etc). bare their testimony or give a brief talk about the Savior.

Have a closing song (we sang "I'll Follow Him in Faith") and prayer.
