En Nazaret, el angosto camino
que quita el aliento y cansa los pies,
pasa por donde una vez vivió
el Carpintero de Nazaret.
Por el polvoriento camino
solía la gente del pueblo llegar
y sobre el banco del Carpintero
lo destrozado depositar.
Una muñeca rota llevaba la niña,
un arado el hombre, una silla la mujer.
"Carpintero, ¿Lo puede reparar?",
esperanzados preguntaban los tres.
Cada uno recibe lo solicitado:
la muñeca, la silla o el arado;
lo destrozado que le habían llevado
se lo devuelve perfectamente reparado.
Año tras año la cuesta empinada,
con paso lento y melancolía,
recorren de pena y dolor cargadas
las almas que imploran día a día:
"Ah, Carpintero de Nazaret,
¿Te será posible reparar
mi destrozado corazón,
y mi vida destrozada de verdad?".
Y por Su amor y gran bondad,
Su vida dulce entretejerá
con la nuestra destrozada
y vida nueva creará.
"¡Ah, Carpintero de Nazaret,
convierte en plena perfección,
los destrozados ídolos de mi ser:
|deseo, esperanza, fe y aspiración!"
