Description

Jennifer H. shared this handout and says, "I used this for YW Manual 2 Lesson 34. We are counseled to use the hymns as a way to help keep our thoughts clean. I know many of the girls, especially the beehives don't know the words to many of the hymns. So, in the month prior to teaching this lesson, I asked each girl and leader to tell me what her favorite hymn or primary song was, and write a quick note explaining why. I took the words to each of their songs and made a little booklet. At the top or bottom of each song, I added who selected the song and why. We had a wide variety of songs from silly to spiritual to patriotic. The reasons for selecting the songs were just as varied. I passed these out to everyone as we discussed ways of using uplifting music to keep our minds clean. This handout was included as the first page of the booklet.

"The clipart is from MS office. The fonts used are DeVinne BT and Dauphin."

#2 If you do a search at

Jenny Smith's picture

If you do a search at http://www.lds.org/ (NOT lds.org/churchmusic) you can get a list of the lyrics for Church hymns and Primary songs that are easy to copy and paste. They don't include the music.

I don't know about the others songs tho....
