True LDS Heroes - LDS T Shirts

Amy from True LDS Heroes shares the inspriation behind her LDS tees:

I originally designed these shirts for my little boy, but after receiving a request for girls camp shirts, found that the young women can get just as much good from them! They depict men who were absolutely amazing and faithful on stylish and modest superhero shirts. These are men from the scriptures that actually existed and were more courageous than the mythical superheroes that are offered to our young generation now. These are the kind of men with characteristics that we want our young women to look for in their courtship choices. It certainly tells young men what kind of boy the girls are looking for when they wear these heroes on their shirts! Nothing like a little positive motivation!

Where the idea came from.

I was having personal scripture study. After at least 3 minutes of pure uninterrupted study, my little boy came in very upset because he could not find his favorite Superman Shirt. (I had hidden it in the laundry because it desperately needed a cleaning.) He absoutely needed me to stop and help him search for it. I heaved a big sigh at the thought of abandoning Moroni, his valor, courage, and general fabulousness - just to do laundry so that there would be peace once again in my household.

You see, Calvin, the four year old in question suffers from mother diagnosed SOCD. (Superhero Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) He can not wear anything that does not depict a superhero. He suffers unbearable pain at the thought of wearing anyting else.

In that moment I wished how I had a Captain Moroni shirt so deserving of all Calvin's energy and adoration. And the idea was born!

I offer stylish cut shirts for the girls, in many colors. I have Moroni, Nephi, Helaman, and Noah with Esther and Moses coming shortly!
I am also open to any new and fun suggestions the girls might have for me.
