LDS Primary Teaching - Avoiding Age Related Behavior Problems

Mormon Share has taken some excerpts from Teaching, No Greater Call and the Primary Manuals to make some pages with age-specific information on teaching each class in Primary.

The formatting is slightly different here than the published version, because the age characteristics are now alongside the suggested method for adjusting teaching methods to appropriately deal with that behavior. We feel our simpler presentation will help you use this information more easily.

I'd probably use these pages as handouts for new teachers or during Quarterly Teacher Improvement Meetings. They can give good information on ways to avoid common behavior problems that occur at different stages of a child's development.

This information is also useful for Primary Presidencies teaching separate Junior and Senior Primary Sharing Time lessons. Knowing the characteristics of each age-group can help teachers adapt lessons better for the 4-7 and 8-11 age groups.
