Jesus’s disciples were blessed by choosing the right.

When Jesus was on the earth, he taught the gospel. The people who believed and followed him were called disciples. The disciples of Jesus Christ followed Jesus and tried to be like him. They chose the right and were blessed.

Jesus' disciples were baptized. They could be cleansed of their sins and return to live with Heavenly Father.

Jesus' disciples were fed. The people who followed Jesus Christ were filled spiritually by listening to his words. They were fed physically when Jesus performed the miracle of the loaves and fishes, when Jesus turned water to wine, and when they caught fish. Read more »

Jesus Christ created the earth as a place where I can learn to choose the right.

Before we were born, we lived with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We needed a place to live with our families. We needed a place to get physical bodies. We needed a place to learn to choose the right.

Jesus Christ created the earth so we could live there and grow. On earth, we could have physical bodies. We could live with a family. We could learn to choose the right.

The prophet Moses knew what Jesus Christ did for us. Here is what Moses said:

"And there stood one among them that was like unto God, [it was Jesus Christ] and [Jesus Christ] said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon [Heavenly Father's children] may dwell; Read more »

Jesus Christ was chosen to be our Savior

Vincent Poulaert (11) did not always know that Jesus Christ is the Savior, that He and Heavenly Father love him, and that his prayers would be answered. But he knows it now.

Early each morning the Poulaert family reads the scriptures together. Last year they were reading from the Book of Mormon. One day they read about Jesus Christ calling the little children to Him. Sister Poulaert loves this passage of scripture and asked her children if they each had a testimony of Jesus Christ. Everyone said yes—except Vincent. “I was pleased that Vincent would be so honest,” Sister Poulaert said, “but I was concerned also. I asked him if he knew how to get a testimony, and he said he did.” Read more »

Jesus is the Son of God (Making a Puzzle)

Cut a picture into 20 pieces to create a puzzle. (The picture caan be any picture of Christ, but a picture of his birth would work great.) Give all the kids in your class an even number of puzzle pieces. Ask each child to tell the class something they know about Christ’s birth. Once they share one thing, have them put a puzzle piece up on the board. Keep going until they finish the pieces, or until they can’t think of anything else. If they d...

Following the prophet will help us come unto Christ

In the Bible we read of prophets who lived on Earth many years ago. We also read stories about these prophets in the Book of Mormon. Every single one of those prophets testified of Jesus Christ.

We have prophets today who teach us about Jesus Christ, too. We may learn of Jesus Christ by following the prophets who lived long ago and prophets who live on the earth today.

My love for Jesus Christ grows when I study the scriptures

The scriptures have many stories of Jesus Christ. I can learn about Jesus Christ when my parents and teachers read me scripture stories.

I will read the lyrics of a song called Tell me the Stories of Jesus that talks about how children may feel when they hear scripture stories about Jesus:

Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear;
things I would ask him to tell me if he were here:
scenes by the wayside, tales of the sea,
stories of Jesus, tell them to me.

First let me hear how the children stood round his knee,
and I shall fancy his blessing resting on me;
words full of kindness, deeds full of grace,
all in the lovelight of Jesus' face.

Into the city I'd follow the children's band,

My love for Jesus Christ grows when I pray (easy)

[child holds up picture of Jesus Christ]

When I pray I can thank Heavenly Father for my blessings. Jesus Christ is my Savior. His Atonement is one of my greatest blessings. I am grateful for the plan of salvation. I could not live with Heavenly Father or my family again without Jesus Christ.

When I thank Heavenly Father for Jesus, my love for Jesus grows.

[child bears testimony]
